Well it’s been awhile since I’ve been this late to the game in posting to 52 Photos Project. It’s been a crazy week and it was last night as I was about to go to bed that I remembered that I had not posted yet. I am determined not to miss a week so I’m just glad it wasn’t too late.
The prompt this week is Holiday Traditions. I don’t have a lot of traditions around the holidays but one thing I do every year is watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade. It used to be that immediately after the parade, NBC would show It’s A Wonderful Life. It go so that my Thanksgiving always started with the parade, followed by It’s A Wonderful Life and then dinner. A few years ago, for some reason unknown to any rationale mind, they started showing a dog show after the parade. I was so heartbroken that I couldn’t watch my movie that I went out and bought it 🙂
For me the holidays don’t start without the parade and It’s A Wonderful Life. Once those two things are done then the holiday season may commence and for the record, that includes Christmas music; NO Christmas music until Santa comes down the Macy’s parade 🙂 This collection has a version in color but I only ever watch the B&W version. Some things just should not be messed with.
There are lots of fun pics in this week’s gallery. Go check out what the other photogs have done this week and remember to leave them some love. I would love to hear, what traditions do you have surrounding the holidays?
